Day 33 - Lincoln to Tattershall Bridge

Sunday 4th September

18 miles, 2 locks

Stamp End Lock
Left Lincoln, cloudy but dry. After a short while we had to operate the guillotine lock which was very slow. Cruised along the straightest river we have ever seen (the Witham) lots of swans, greylag geese, mallards and a pair of Egyptian geese.

Our mooring at Tattershall Bridge
Moored at Tattershall Bridge just two boats on the moorings, us and Bermuda Bird. Walked up to the Royal Oak and met Dave and Anna owners, liveaboards of Nb BB. Ended up taking our curry to their boat and having a drink.

Very noisy at times on mooring as we are very near Coningsby airfield and there are jets taking off.
