Wednesday 7th September
A bit of drizzle in the morning but soon brightened up and got very warm and humid. First stop Asda - did a good shop there.

Maude Foster windmill |
Next to the Maude Foster windmill very interesting working mill milling 60 bags of flour a week. Could see a long way from the balcony. Not enough wind for the sails to be going all the time but we did see some action.

Inside Boston stump |
Next the stump. Paul climbed the tower and I wandered around the church, very impressive as were the four knitted models of Lincolnshire churches made from the wool of Lincolnshire Longwool sheep and staning at least three feet tall.

Pilgrim fathers |
Visited the auction and market before heading to the Guiild hall where were learnt about the Pilgrim Fathers and saw the cells that they were held in as well as lots of other artefacts realating to the history of Boston.
Wandered to the pub by the marina, The Witham Tavern, for a drink before dinner. Warm enough to sit outside the boat to eat and listen to a frustrating Andy Murray match which he lost in the US open to Nishikori.
