| Walking to Tattershall Castle |
A beautiful but breezy morning. Cruised from Boston to Dogdyke and moored up before lunch.
Walked across a dyke beside the River Bain to Tattershall Castle and church passing the airfield. Lots of activity there particularly on the way back.

The castle was very impressive and from the battlements we could see the Boston Stump and Lincoln Cathedral.

Walked on into Tattershall village. Not much there but a market cross and an interesting village sign and bench depicting oak and willow trees and rushes.
Lazy couple of hours on the boat before a pre dinner drink in the Packet Inn. Much cooler this evening, more autumnal.
